| Frost hardy and suitable for wet sites. Bark dark, rough on lower half of the tree, greyish tot olive-green on the upper half. Flowers cream colored, profuse. Very tolerant of humid soils and even temporary inundation. Responds well to hard pruning. This plant can be found in the botanical garden in the following locations:
